Job Details Location: New Life Central Operations - Colorado Springs, CO 80921Job Title: NLC Events and Hospitality Staff - FT Evening ShiftDepartment: FacilitiesReports to: Director of HospitalityPosition Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $15.00 - $17.00 hourlySchedule: Tues – Fri Evenings, 10 hours per day (1:00pm - 11:30pm)Work Hours: 40 hours per weekJob Summary To serve New Life Church North campus with excellence by providing events set-up and tear-down services.Duties and Responsibilities Meet with Team Leader at least bi-weekly.Perform set-up and tear-down of classrooms and multi-purpose rooms, including 5' and 8' tables, folding chairs, stackable chairs, easels, podiums, whiteboards, round tables and other furniture or accessories.Clean and disinfect tables and chairs in preparation for an event.Move furniture and equipment into and out of the buildings.Remove and dispose of all trash from buildings.Open and close facilities according to reservation requests and campus calendar while monitoring lights, heat and air-conditioning to ensure the comfort and safety of guests; coordinate guests' needs and interact with event participants.Perform snow removal by operating all necessary equipment.Respond to fire or security alarms during work hours unless otherwise instructed.Run off-campus errands as requested.Assist with traffic control in the parking lot as requested.Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubber, carpet scrubbers, extractors, Kaivac and power washers.Perform general church cleaning duties, including but not limited to: Vacuum Worship Center, hallways and the Student Center; remove all waste products from these rooms.Vacuum stairs and landings, as well as upstairs and downstairs classrooms.Wash and disinfect tables and chairs in classrooms and kitchen.Shampoo carpets and perform light-duty stain removal as needed.Dust furniture, counters, air vents, light fixtures, and other items daily or weekly.Clean and polish classrooms, large rooms, public areas, windows, baseboards, doors, door frames, doorknobs and handles, handrails, drinking fountains and elevators as designated.Clean all restrooms, including toilets, walls, lavatories, mirrors and dispensers, and restock supplies.Mop floors and spot-clean fingerprints and handprints on walls.Maintain cleaning supply inventories and report maintenance needs via Task Requests.Carry out special projects as requested.Advance the Kingdom of God by representing Christ at all times in thought, action, and speech.Demonstrate ongoing financial support of the ministries of New Life Church.Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment and complete duties required to fully serve and support the ministries.Attend regular staff meetings and additional meetings as required.Cooperate with the Director of Hospitality, Team Leaders and Reservations Department by performing any other duties when asked.Physical Dexterity (Psychomotor Abilities) Required for Events Positions Static Strength - ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects with maximum muscle force.Stamina - ability to exert physical effort over long periods without fatigue.Trunk Strength - support part of the body repeatedly or continuously without fatigue.Multi-limb Coordination - coordinate two or more limbs while sitting, standing, or lying down.Manual Dexterity - adroitness in using the hands.Dynamic Strength - repetitive or continuous muscle force over time.Extent Flexibility - maximum range of motion at a joint or series of joints.Gross Body Equilibrium - maintain or regain balance when in an unstable position.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Follow a routine weekly schedule and complete assigned duties in a timely manner.Read and carry out written and oral instructions.Perform basic arithmetical functions.Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.Possess a servant's heart, personable and helpful attitude.Detail-oriented and self-motivated.Communicate verbally effectively and tactfully at all levels.Handle multiple tasks, learn quickly, and complete assignments with little guidance.Work well under pressure and time constraints.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Analyze and solve problems effectively with little or no supervision at times.Apply knowledge of space allocation practices and perform duties chronologically based on event start times.Work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse and growing community.Gather data, compile information and present findings and statistics to Team Leaders.Education and Experience Education: Full-time positions - high school diploma or equivalent required.Experience: Commercial events and/or housekeeping experience preferred; fully paid 2-3 week training is provided.Working Conditions and Requirements for Hospitality Physical Demands:Work, walk and stand for 6-8 consecutive hours per day.Pay attention to detail; good near and far vision is important.Perform repetitive hand, arm, shoulder movements without cramping.Withstand occasional periods of exposure to commercial cleaning products.Handle objects up to 50 pounds;
