    Job Description

    Position Summary: 

    This position is full-time contract work for 5-6 months and is a great entry to the wireless telecommunications industry. The right candidate will be a motivated team player, productive self-starter who will interface with Lead Engineers, Project Coordinators, Support Staff, tower crews, and customer contacts to perform field measurements, manage a drive-test team, follow well-defined procedures, use common sense, and ultimately be responsible for producing high quality RF field measurements. The position requires 100% travel within the US. Successful candidates will receive training to perform their responsibilities.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Lead a drive-test team in the field to collect CW (continuous wave) path-loss data
    • Ensure that the test kit is complete, well cared for/maintained, and is working properly in a calibrated and accurate state throughout the projects.
    • Work with the Lead Engineer and Project Coordinator to manage logistics such as air travel, vehicle rental, lodging, etc. while in the field.
    • Maintain a safe work environment
      •  Complete job hazard analysis at every site
      •  Report any safety issues immediately to lead engineer or project coordinator
    • Maintain a healthy work environment using clear and professional communication with the team including lead engineers, project coordinators, support staff (drivers), and tower crew personnel.
    • Submit receipts for all purchases with company credit card (Pcard) on the day of purchase
    • Maintain timely correspondence with NETSCOUTs expense administration team (Certify team)
    • Maintain timely correspondence with NETSCOUTs QA team and model calibration team
    • Upload data daily for all sites collected including all pictures, videos, and site data
    • Understand and follow drive testing procedures as prescribed by NETSCOUT
    • Work in concert with lead engineer and customers to coordinate effective test plans
    • Work with client (cellular carriers) cell technicians, RF engineers, and real estate managers to obtain timely access to cell sites
    • Troubleshoot logistical or technical issues swiftly when needed
    • Maintain accurate records by submitting required daily reports of field activities to comply with contractual obligations
    • Maintain accurate reporting of working hours
    • Maintain a clean workspace including rental test vehicle and test sites
