Night Operations Lead — Flora-Bama Lounge

The Night Operations Lead supports the Manager on Duty by helping keep nighttime operations organized, responsive, and running smoothly. This is a hands-on floor position focused on responding to staff calls, addressing routine operational needs, and bringing issues requiring management attention to the MOD.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to radio calls and requests for operational assistance.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the property and regularly check bars, service areas, and guest spaces.
• Help resolve routine guest concerns within established guidelines.
• Coordinate with bartenders, barbacks, customer service, security, and reset to address immediate needs.
• Help coordinate breaks and temporary coverage within the MOD’s staffing plan.
• Identify cleanliness, stocking, equipment, and maintenance issues and follow through on getting them addressed.
• Support opening, shift transitions, and closing procedures as assigned.
• Communicate unresolved issues and significant incidents to the MOD and provide a brief shift handoff.
• Reinforce established service standards and lead by example.

Authority and accountability

This position reports to the Manager on Duty. Formal discipline, sending employees home, changes to staffing levels, exceptions to policy, and significant guest or safety incidents must be referred to the MOD. Security matters remain under established security procedures.

Qualifications

• Dependable, calm under pressure, and comfortable working in a busy nightlife environment.
• Strong communication skills and sound judgment.
• Able to follow through on requests and recognize when management involvement is needed.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Available nights, weekends, holidays, and late closing shifts.
