    Description

    Position Summary:

    The Pacemaker Clinic CVT is responsible for the monitoring, and management of patients with implanted cardiac rhythm management devices, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices, and implantable loop recorders. The RN collaborates closely with electrophysiologists, advanced practice providers, device representatives, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. This role supports remote monitoring programs, device interrogations, patient education, clinical triage, and quality initiatives within the Cardiac Services department.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Perform and/or review in-office and remote device interrogations for pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices, and loop recorders.
    • Assess device data and identify abnormalities requiring clinical intervention or physician review.
    • Triage patient symptoms related to arrhythmias, device function, and cardiovascular conditions.
    • Collaborate with electrophysiologists and APPs to develop and implement care plans.
    • Educate patients and families regarding device function, remote monitoring systems, follow-up schedules, and symptom management.
    • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinic performance metrics.
    • Assist with patient outreach and management of remote monitoring alerts.
    • Support patient satisfaction, safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives.

    Education:

    High School Diploma or GED required

    Licensure/Certification

    Registry required through CCI or CCT

    Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years experience in electrophysiology, cardiac device management, pacemaker clinic, telemetry, cath lab, or cardiology preferred.
    • Experience with remote monitoring platforms and electronic medical records preferred.
