Northern Virginia Superintendent - Ground Up Projects

A leading mid-sized general contractor is seeking a plug-and-play Superintendent to lead large-scale, ground-up commercial projects across Northern Virginia. This role offers full ownership of on-site operations, with the expectation to independently run projects up to $40M while collaborating closely with project teams and owners.

Description

• Oversee all on-site construction operations for commercial ground-up projects
• Manage subcontractors, schedules, safety compliance, and project quality
• Interpret construction documents and perform constructability reviews
• Maintain daily logs, coordinate materials, and ensure jobsite organization
• Lead communication between owners, project managers, architects, and subs
• Drive project timelines and ensure successful delivery from start to finish

Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor
• Proven experience with ground-up projects valued at $12M+ (ideally up to $40M)
• Background in K-12, municipal, or public-sector construction preferred
• Ability to independently lead and manage large-scale projects
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, scheduling, and safety standards
• OSHA 30 certification required
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction software tools
• Open to candidates based in Northern Virginia or Maryland (near VA border)

• Base salary: $110K - $175K
