Position Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures to support accurate assessment and treatment planning for patients across Trinity Health. This role prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of a radiologist, ensuring precise imaging acquisition through proper equipment operation and patient positioning. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist maintains strict adherence to radiation safety standards, quality control protocols, and regulatory requirements. Working collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, and clinical care teams, the position helps coordinate workflow, communicate effectively with patients, and deliver efficient, high-quality imaging services that support safe, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders, safety standards, and departmental protocols.
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, ensuring accurate patient positioning, image acquisition, and documentation.
• Conduct daily quality control, calibration, and performance testing on imaging systems and radiation-measuring equipment.
• Monitor and follow radiation safety procedures for the receipt, handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Maintain organized workflow by scheduling, preparing rooms, and coordinating exams to support timely diagnostic services.
• Provide clear instructions and compassionate support to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding during all phases of the procedure.
