Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting for Nuclear Medicine Technologists (NMT) - PET/CTs to support the VA Long Beach Healthcare System (Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center) located at 5901 East 7th St, Long Beach, CA 90822. Available shift schedules include days, evenings, and nights. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Position Pays: $70 - $75.09/hr 

Responsibilities

  • Independently operate Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT systems
  • Perform complex PET, PET/CT, general nuclear medicine, cardiac, static, dynamic, and SPECT studies
  • Follow strict nuclear medicine safety and radiation protocols
  • Prepare and calibrate radiopharmaceuticals and radio tracers
  • Receive patients, explain procedures, position patients, and select technical parameters
  • Prepare PET/CT suites with sterile supplies and calibrated radiopharmaceuticals
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals, IV contrast, and tracers under radiologist supervision
  • Send images to PACS, perform post‑processing and case editing
  • Maintain patient records using Radiology VistA and CPRS

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of current Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT experience
  • Current ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification
  • Experience with IV starts, radiopharmaceutical, and contrast injections
  • Current BLS certification
  • PACS experience (AGFA preferred; training provided if needed)
  • No sponsorship available 

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
