QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital setting
Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification
Valid NJDEP license
BLS certification (AHA)
Strong knowledge of radiation safety, anatomy, and imaging protocols

 

Assignment Details

Schedule: Days (Monday–Friday)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (through 08/15/2026)
On-Call: None
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: None

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety protocols
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures including organ imaging and functional studies
  • Operate and calibrate nuclear medicine equipment to ensure optimal image quality
  • Evaluate images using PACS systems to confirm diagnostic accuracy
  • Maintain proper documentation for radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self in accordance with NRC and state guidelines
  • Assist physicians in therapeutic procedures involving radioisotopes
  • Rotate between areas such as Cardiology and PET/CT as needed
  • Utilize systems such as EPIC, Teletracking, and Nuclear Medicine Information Systems
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and contamination-free work environment
  • Provide patient education and ensure a positive patient experience
