Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Nuclear Medicine Technologists perform tests for diagnosis and medical research. They prepare and give small doses of radioactive drugs (radiopharmaceuticals) to patients, then use high-level imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the body. They collaborate with doctors, medical physicists, nuclear pharmacists, nurses and administrative staff to provide the best level of care. Unlock the possibilities in your career by joining a team that cares like family. 

What you will do in this role:  

  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist completes nuclear medicine procedures including routine procedures and nuclear medicine therapies.   
  • The Nuclear Medicine Technologists participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities.  
  • The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works within the guidelines established in the policies and procedure manual and complies with all safety and infection control guidelines.  
  • The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in accordance with JCAHO, State or other regulatory or accreditation agencies in the performance of their duties. 

What qualifications you will need: 

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology. 
  • Should adhere to ARRT guidelines of obtaining 24 continuing education credits every two years.
  • Must be registered with the ARRT or NMTCB or eligible for registry. Must hold a current license with the Kansas board of healing arts. 
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Certification required upon hire.
  • Two years experience preferred.
