Pay Range: $52.91 - $65.48 per hour

Pay Transparency:

The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist, under the direction of the nuclear medicine supervisor and/or radiologist, the nuclear medicine technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease in humans. Participates in and exhibits good Medical Center and Radiology guest relations.

$12,000 sign-on bonus (external employees only)

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • NJ State license
  • Registered by the A.R.R.T. or the N.M.T.C.B., or Registry eligible Maintain required
  • BLS through the American Heart Association
  • Successful completion of site personnel general orientation and department specific orientation
  • Successful completion of IV training class.
  • Successful completion of radiation safety, survey and decontamination orientation/training by RS

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift
  • Part-Time
  • 20 hours per week

Essential Functions:

  • Check, measure and record radiopharmaceuticals prior to administering to patients
  • Performs quality controls on equipment and radiopharmaceuticals
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients intravenously, orally or by inhalation
  • Performs imaging procedures
  • Maintains reliable records under the guidelines of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission
  • Performs other duties as required by the department
