Responsibilities:PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The qualified individual will be responsible for the following:
Obtaining and maintaining an NRC license for operation of the facility.
Assigned on a rotating shift basis, acting under prescribed rules and approved practices, to observe, inspect and as instructed operate station equipment; to prepare equipment for service and for maintenance; to test equipment for proper operation; to take necessary action in emergencies; and to perform related work as assigned.
Specifically tied to NRC regulations includes the control of reactivity systems that affect power levels of the plant.
Monitoring gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine/system are working properly. Controlling operations of equipment or systems remotely from main control room center. Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents, licenses Critical Thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Assisting Senior Reactor Operators for finding and evaluating Information to determine compliance with required standards
Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards and provide information to required parties.
Gathering Information, observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources. Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events; identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
Monitoring Processes, Materials, or Surroundings
Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems. Documenting/Recording Information
