Under limited supervision, the Instructor for Nurse Aide provides engaging and high-quality instruction while supporting student success through advising, mentorship, and academic engagement. Courses are taught in a variety of formats based on the needs of the department. Faculty at Pitt Community College contribute to departmental and institutional goals through curriculum development, committee service, professional development, and collaboration with colleagues across the college and NCCCS.

Work Environment: Work is performed in a variety of environments including, but not limited to, virtual, classroom, laboratory, on campus and off campus locations. Work locations are equipped with standard instructional technology. Instructor positions require frequent interaction with students, faculty, and staff. Occasional travel may be required for professional development, off-campus instruction, or college-related events. Based on the academic discipline, work environments may include exposure to heat, noise, dust, machinery, chemicals, etc. and requires appropriate PPE at all times.

Working Hours: Full-Time, 12-month, faculty position. Posted office hours and semester schedule are required and should be sufficient to fulfill all duties, professional obligations, and meet the needs of the college. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for outreach activities, program support or professional development.
