As a Nurse Educator Manager, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn -whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You''ll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager, Clinical Professional Development will assess, develop and provide evidence-based, quality educational programs and activities that promote professional competency for nursing, inter-professional and non-licensed clinical staff within the market. The Manager uses broad enterprise clinical education team to successfully execute HCA Healthcare's clinical education agenda.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the orientation/onboarding programs in assigned facility and collaborates with the team to promote employee retention
• Uses clinical problems to promote clinical inquiry/investigation and improvement, follows through with competency assessment of new/changed skills and concepts
• Continuously scans the environment to identify and analyze practice gaps, plan effective education and evaluate outcomes
• Synthesizes the best available evidence, evaluation data, trends and expectations to guide decision making about changes and improvements of all components of nursing professional development practice.
• Identifies opportunities for collaboration; initiates collaborative efforts, i.e., with facility Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Associate CNO, and/or Nursing Directors

Education and Experience:

• Master's degree in Nursing or Education Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing Required
• Master's degree Preferred
• 3+ years of experience in clinical education or leadership. Required
• 3+ years of experience in acute care hospital Required

Licenses, Certifications, & Training:

• Licensed as appropriate to education in the state(s) in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation, Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Required
• Nursing Professional Development certification through American Nurses Credentialing Center or Certified Health Education Specialist certification, Preferred
