Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New Jersey
BLS and ACLS certifications
Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and ability to handle high-acuity cases
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Prior travel nursing experience
Experience in high-volume or acute care hospital settings

• 
  Perform thorough, accurate patient assessments across all stages of labor and delivery
• Provide direct nursing care, including monitoring maternal and fetal well-being
• Assist with labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
• Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies using appropriate clinical interventions
• Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation in accordance with guidelines
• Educate patients and families on procedures, care plans, and recovery expectations
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and National Patient Safety Goals
• Utilize proper patient identification and safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain professionalism, patient confidentiality (HIPAA), and a patient-first approach
• Support pre- and post-procedure care, including patient education and chart completion
