    Job Description

    An 895+ bed tertiary care medical center in Dallas is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead its Emergency Department services. This large-scale facility includes both a full-service adult hospital and a dedicated pediatric hospital, each with its own emergency department designed to support high-acuity, specialized care.

    This leadership role carries full accountability for the planning, organization, direction, and evaluation of all Emergency Department operations. The Nurse Manager works closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure care is delivered in alignment with established clinical standards, protocols, and best practices across both adult and pediatric populations.

    Key responsibilities include developing and recommending departmental policies and procedures, improving operational efficiency, and supporting ongoing quality and safety initiatives. The role also oversees budget development, manages physician and stakeholder relationships, and leads a multidisciplinary team in addressing operational challenges and patient care issues in real time.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree preferred

    • Active RN license in the State of Texas or compact RN license required

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)

    • ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire

    • TNCC required within 18 months of hire

    • ENPC or CEN required within 18 months of hire

    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in a healthcare setting, including staff supervision, budget preparation, physician relationship management, and operational problem-solving

    • Emergency Department experience required

    Schedule:

    • Full-time

    • Day shift

    • No weekends
