Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Emergency Department (ED/ER Services) to lead daily clinical and operational activities within a high-volume, fast-paced emergency care environment. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring excellence in patient care delivery, staff performance, operational efficiency, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The ideal candidate will be a strong clinical leader with proven emergency department management experience and the ability to drive quality outcomes, staff engagement, and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care
  • Lead and develop nursing and support staff, including scheduling, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care delivery across physicians, nursing, and ancillary teams
  • Develop, implement, and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Manage departmental budgeting, resource allocation, and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Strengthen physician relationships and promote effective clinical collaboration
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and support patient safety and regulatory compliance
  • Drive initiatives to improve patient experience, throughput, and clinical outcomes

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred

Licensure & Certifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or Compact State License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or ARC required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 18 months
  • ENPC or CEN certification within 18 months (preferred/required per facility standards)

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a clinical setting
  • Prior Emergency Department leadership experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Staff supervision and team leadership
    • Budget planning and operational oversight
    • Physician and stakeholder relationship management
    • Quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
    • Managing high-acuity, high-volume clinical environments
