East Houston Medical Center is seeking an exceptional NurseManager – Hospital Operations to provide strategic, hands‑on nursing leadershipat our Baytown facility. This role oversees nursing practice and patient care.delivery across all clinical areas, ensuring safety, high‑quality, andcompassionate care 24/7. The Nurse Manager will be the key on‑site nursingleader, partnering with executives, physicians, and department leaders toelevate quality, patient experience, and staff engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support nursing teams across multiple hospital departments, ensuring consistent standards of excellence in patient care and service.
• Oversee hospital‑wide staffing, patient placement, and acuity‑based assignments to maintain safe and efficient workflows.
• Mentor and develop charge nurses and frontline leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support effective communication, rounding, and rapid response to changes in patient condition.
• Monitor clinical quality, nurse‑sensitive indicators, and patient experience data; drive targeted improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, hospital policies, and professional nursing practice standards.
• Partner with HR and Education on onboarding, competency, and ongoing professional development for nursing staff.
• Participate in or lead key hospital committees focused on quality, safety, infection prevention, and nursing practice.

Requirements

Qualifications

• CurrentRegistered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (or eligibility forTexas licensure).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; master’s degree in nursing,Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
• At least 5 years of acute care nursing experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role (charge nurse, supervisor, manager, or similar).
• Demonstrated success leading teams, improving clinical outcomes, and supporting a positive work environment.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and critical‑thinking skills, with the ability to manage complex clinical and operational situations.
