Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced OR Nurse Manager to oversee daily operations across General OR, Cardiac OR, Orthopedic OR, and Ambulatory Surgery. This role leads nursing teams, manages department resources, and works with surgical and anesthesia leadership to improve patient care and OR performance.


Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations across multiple OR areas.
• Lead and support 3 Assistant Nurse Managers and up to 120 FTEs.
• Manage operating and capital budgets and address financial variances.
• Improve OR utilization, case turnover, and patient throughput.
• Partner with surgeons, anesthesia, and hospital leadership.
• Support staff development, clinical advancement, certifications, and education.
• Conduct performance evaluations and promote a culture of accountability.

Required Qualifications

• BSN from a CCNE-accredited program.
• Active Maryland RN license.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• National nursing certification.
• 3–5 years of progressive OR nursing experience, including supervisory/leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, financial management, and communication skills.

Preferred

• Master's degree (MSN, MHA, MBA, MS, or MA).
