Position Summary
The facility is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join its expanding Cardiology team in Bronx, New York. This is a full-time opportunity. The role focuses on delivering high-quality cardiovascular care through patient evaluation, chronic disease management, and collaboration with cardiologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Essential Position Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive cardiovascular assessments including patient history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation.

Manage patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and arrhythmias.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests including ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and relevant laboratory studies.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.

Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness and patient response.

Educate patients and families on heart health, lifestyle modification, medication adherence, and disease prevention.

Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and cardiology care coordination programs.

Qualifications

Education:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Certification:
Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, ANP, or AGACNP) through ANCC or AANP.

Licensure:
Active or eligible Nurse Practitioner license in New York.

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.

DEA registration (or eligibility).

Experience:
Prior experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or acute care preferred.

New graduates with strong clinical training and cardiology exposure are encouraged to apply.
