Job Summary: The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for trauma and general surgery patients by performing advanced assessments, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, developing treatment plans, performing procedures within scope of practice, and coordinating patient care across the continuum. The role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care while supporting surgical services, patient education, clinical documentation, quality improvement initiatives, and staff mentorship.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master's of Science degree (MSN) with completion of Nurse Practitioner Program (NPP)
- Certifications:
- License: Must have a current DEA number in the US Drug Enforcement Administration for controlled substances.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in medical and surgical applications.
U.S. Citizenship is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to perform reassessment and management for all patients and per policy.
- Performs a thorough history taking, clinical assessment, and physical examination of both inpatient and outpatient.
- Document on going assessment and formulate plans of care in collaboration with medical staff.
- Orders, analyzes and treats patients based on results of diagnostic tests.
- Monitors clinical laboratory and radiological studies for the team and manage results and related treatment plans in coordination with other providers on the team.
- Nurse Practitioners shall have a vast knowledge of the anatomy and physiology and disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and dermal systems.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of current disease processes while conducting a comprehensive health history and physical examination or problem-focused assessment depending on patient's status.
- Perform minor procedure within your scope of practice in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Knowledgeable of surgical procedures and postoperative course of patients undergoing bowel surgery and other general or trauma surgical procedures.

Work Environment & Schedule: Onsite, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, 40 hours per week.
Physical requirements: This position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods while providing direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including responding to emergency situations and assisting with bedside procedures. The role also requires the physical and mental stamina to safely care for critically ill patients, work in a fast-paced clinical environment, operate medical equipment, and maintain focus, sound judgment, and effective communication under stressful conditions.
Compensation & Benefits: Up to $162,000 plus exempt benefits
