Adelphi is seeking an Autonomous Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide examinations and preventive health services at a correctional facility in Virginia. The ideal candidate will be required to assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement care plans, and maintain medical records. <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Works independently with minimal supervision to perform physical examinations and preventive health measures. <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Responds to and initiates care for medical emergencies throughout the facility.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Order and perform diagnostic procedures.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Prescribe controlled substances and devices in accordance with current regulations.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Provides education to patient, healthcare, and correctional staff.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>
