We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive primary care in a structured correctional healthcare environment. This position involves evaluating and treating acute and chronic conditions, managing ongoing patient care, conducting same-day medical evaluations, and collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and facility personnel.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide high-quality care in a secure and structured setting.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Nursing
At least 1 year of primary care experience
At least 1 year of care management experience
At least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following:
Correctional care
Correctional medicine
Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
Current licensure/certification as one of the following:
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Current certification in one or more of the following:
American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Provide sick-call coverage and same-day medical evaluations
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
