Position Overview: New York & New Jersey Eye Institute is seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing ophthalmology team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care, perform clinical assessments, assist physicians with ophthalmic procedures, and help manage patients throughout the continuum of care. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, medical histories, and physical examinations.
Evaluate patients presenting with ocular conditions, vision-related concerns, and ophthalmic diseases.
Assist in diagnosing and managing common eye conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye syndrome, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other ophthalmic disorders.
Perform vision assessments, intraocular pressure testing, pupil dilation, and other ophthalmic evaluations.
Perform pre-operative evaluations, vital sign monitoring, and patient education.
