Indiana University Health Medical Group- Metro Region has a career opportunity for a Psychiatry Physician Assistant or Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join their Post-Stroke Depression Clinic at Goodman Hall in Indianapolis.
This role will be part of a newly established outpatient multidisciplinary care team, working collaboratively with Neurology and Psychiatry physicians, as well as other clinical support staff
Position Details:
Full-Time
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
No Call
100% outpatient
General population: adult patients who have had strokes, mix of general psychiatry as well
Patient volume: 50/week
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care for adult patients who have experienced a stroke and subsequently developed depressive disorders
Conduct psychiatric and physical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans
Treatment may include psychotropic medication management, individual and group psychotherapy, patient and family education, and other evidence-based supportive interventions
Play a key role in delivering integrated, patient-centered care to support recovery, emotional well-being, and overal quality of life
Requirements:
Seeking experienced psychiatry PAs or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners only
At least two years of experience in Mental Health as an RN or APP is required
