Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Purpose: The nurse practitioner helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. Performing independently or as part of a treatment team in educating patients about preventative care and the prescribed treatments. Will also conduct physicals, order tests and serve as a patient's primary healthcare provider and prescribe medications.

Salary: 130,000 (Base Salary)

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Follows all PCMH procedure and policies.
  2. Provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medication for children and adults.
  3. Performs comprehensive history, physical, and psychosocial assessment to patients attending the clinic.
  4. Diagnoses and treats common acute conditions, illnesses or minor trauma within legally accepted protocols in collaboration with the physician.
  5. Develops a treatment plan on every patient.
  6. Assesses the client's psychosocial, emotional, physiologic and environmental needs and priorities.
  7. Informs, teaches, counsels, and guides the patients to assume responsibility for the management of his or her own health care.
  8. Schedules appointments for the clients and makes arrangements for consultations and referrals as needed. Evaluates the client's response to the medical treatment and revises the plan of care as appropriate.
  9. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
  10. Participates in grand rounds and case conferences.
  11. Acts as a role model and resource person for those who are working directly and indirectly with the clients.
  12. Other Clinical and/or administrative duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Medical Provider or Chief Executive Officer

Requirements: 

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) Active for New Jersey
  • Nurse Practitioner licensure, Current DEA registration and CDS
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered pediatric care.
