JOB DESCRIPTION
Provides office-based ENT, allergy, and selected dermatology services to new and established patients of all ages
- evaluation and treatment of common conditions of ear, nose, throat, mouth, sinuses, salivary glands, face and neck
- medication management; monitoring of medication compliance
- education/counseling
- ordering diagnostic tests
- referral to ENT surgeon for operative procedures (e.g., tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, tympanostomy tubes, endoscopic sinus surgery, skin cancer surgery)
- referral to related other specialties (e.g., audiology, cardiology, neurology, pulmonology, sleep medicine)
- performance of common ENT and facial skin procedures
- communication with PCP’s.
Most commonly encountered diagnoses are:
- Allergic rhinitis
- Dizziness and vestibular disorders
- Dysphagia
- Epistaxis
- Eustachian tube disorders
- GERD and laryngopharyngeal reflux
- Hearing loss and related disorders
- Hoarseness
- Impacted cerumen
- Skin disorders of head and neck, including actinic keratoses and skin cancers
- Sinusitis
