We're seeking an experienced Nurse Staff Development Coordinator (RN) to lead staff education, clinical training, and professional development initiatives within a skilled nursing/long-term care facility. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and deliver orientation, onboarding, and ongoing clinical education programs for nursing staff.
Mentor and coach nurses, nursing assistants, and clinical leaders to support professional growth and clinical excellence.
Conduct competency assessments, skills validations, and leadership development initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and survey requirements.
Maintain accurate education records, training logs, and documentation to ensure survey readiness.
Partner with nursing leadership on recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention initiatives.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary departments to coordinate facility-wide education and quality improvement programs.
Introduce evidence-based practices and innovative teaching strategies that improve resident outcomes.
Provide direct resident care as needed while serving as a clinical role model.
Participate in rotating nursing leadership weekend coverage (approximately one weekend per month).
