Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Developmental Services

Location: Western NY (Various locations-Erie & Niagara Counties)

Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, & Per-Diem / Contract

Position Summary

Penda Aiken, Inc. is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide direct care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across residential homes and day programs in Western NY. Flexible 8-hour and 12-hour shifts are available in a 24/7 operating environment. Candidates must have a valid NYS driver’s license as travel between local sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Medication & Treatments: Administer medications, insulin, G-Tube/PEG feedings, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and catheter care.
  
• 
  Direct Care & Support: Assist with ADLs (feeding, bathing, bed transfers), meal prep, and personal care.
  
• 
  Observation & Documentation: Track vital signs, health status, and behavioral changes; log clinical notes accurately.
  
• 
  Habilitation: Support individual goal plans, skill development, and community integration.
  

Qualifications & Compliance

• 
  Licensure: Active NYS LPN License.
  
• 
  Certifications: Active CPR Certification and NYS Driver’s License.
  
• 
  Clearances: Must pass criminal fingerprinting (CBC), Staff Exclusion List (SEL), Child Abuse Register (SCR/CAPA), and background checks.
  
• 
  Medical Requirements: Current health clearance (PPD/TB test, Rubella, Rubeola).
