Position Overview:

As a Nursing Assistant in the Multisystem ICU, you will:

  • Perform patient care under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
  • The ICU at ORMC is a 32 bed unit, serves the adult population by offering the services of clinical professionals and specialized equipment to treat critically ill patients. The types of patients served are as follows: Traumatic brain injuries, stroke, trauma, heart failure, respiratory failure, and more

Education/Training Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of nursing assistant work experience within the past five years may substitute for completion of one of the following training requirements:
    • Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Assistant Program
    • State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant certification
    • State of Florida Licensed Practical Nurse
    • Medical Corpsman, Emergency Medical Technician, or Paramedic
    • Medical personnel licensed outside the United States

Licensure/Certification:

  • Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Experience:

  • One (1) year of experience within the past five years in a relevant healthcare setting preferred.
  • No experience required for graduates of an approved school of nursing or other listed training.
