Starting Wage:$21.50 per hour
Position Summary
The Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) provides direct resident care by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting resident comfort and dignity, and creating a welcoming dining experience through outstanding customer service during meal times. Our NARs are essential for our residents well being and play a key role in enhancing each resident's quality of life.
Primary Responsibilities
Resident Care
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using safe lifting techniques and equipment.
Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition to the licensed nurse.
Answer resident call lights promptly and courteously.
Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and independence at all times.
Assist with making beds, organizing resident rooms, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Dining Services & Customer Service
Prepare dining rooms before each meal by ensuring tables are clean, organized, and welcoming.
Escort residents to and from the dining room as needed.
Assist residents with meal setup and feeding according to care plans.
Encourage hydration and nutritional intake.
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with residents in a friendly, respectful, and compassionate manner.
Assist with dining room cleanup following each meal.
Teamwork
Communicate effectively with nurses, therapy, dietary, activities, and other departments.
Participate in shift report and resident care planning.
Support coworkers to ensure residents receive timely, high-quality care.
Follow all infection prevention and safety procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications
Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) status.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
Compassionate, dependable, and positive attitude.
Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team.
Previous long-term care experience preferred but not required.
