    Description

    Position Overview

    The Nursing Manager for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) is responsible for the 24-hour leadership and management of the assigned clinical unit, ensuring high-quality patient care that meets established standards. This role involves overseeing nursing operations, coordinating staff activities, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes excellence in clinical practice and patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership, supervision, and coordination for nursing staff within the Intermediate Care Unit.

    • Ensure delivery of patient care aligns with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.

    • Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and other departments to optimize patient care and workflow.

    • Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.

    • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain efficient operations.

    • Support professional development and competency of nursing staff through training, evaluation, and mentorship.

    • Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the development of departmental goals and policies.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

    • Acute care Intermediate Care (IMC) experience required.

    • Leadership experience required.

    • Current state RN license (or eligibility for licensure).

    • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in a hospital or acute care setting.

    • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
