Nutrition Assessor

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

 

Experience: At least two years' experience in program intake or customer service in private industry or public grant funded programs such as those under the Older Americans Act. Experience in word processing is required.

 

Requirements: Has excellent interpersonal and group process skills. Is accurate, conscientious and flexible with attention to detail. Is proficient with computers, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Access. Accepts direction, is well organized, and can meet deadlines. Willingness to work in a team environment. Must have valid driver’s license. Must have reliable transportation. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate effectively with individuals from all demographic groups. The Senior Alliance is a non-profit 501(c)3 where philanthropy on behalf of the agency is a requirement of all employees. Must perform job functions with ethics, honesty and integrity.

 

General Job Description: The Nutrition Assessor is responsible for traveling to delivered meals program participants, including program applicants, homes within The Senior Alliance service area to conduct thorough assessments, reassessments, and evaluations, ensuring their needs are effectively identified and addressed. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to provide tailored recommendations for services.
