Job Summary

The job of the Nutrition Services Worker is for the purpose of providing support to the food service activities at assigned location by preparing and serving food items to students and/or school personnel; and maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition. This job reports to the Director of Nutrition Services or designee.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to job related experience is desired, completion of high school or General Education Diploma (GED) or three (3) months of paid experience in the food service industry. (Please review the job description for more information) EXAMINATION PROCEDURES At the time of this announcement, we are establishing a substitute pool. Candidates must achieve a passing score on each component of the assessment process to be placed in the substitute pool. Placement in the pool makes candidates eligible to work on an as-needed, on-call basis for this classification, but does not guarantee a minimum number of hours or permanent employment. Applicants who may need reasonable accommodation for interviewing or testing must notify the Personnel Department at (562) 690-2321, three business days prior to the testing date. Date of Examination Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s).
