Sargent College’s Sargent Choice Nutrition Center (SCNC) provides high quality, evidence-based nutrition services to Boston University faculty, staff, and students, and to the greater Boston community, and offers clinical training opportunities for Boston University undergraduate and graduate nutrition students. The SCNC Team includes registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) with advanced degrees and specialized training in eating disorders, weight-related concerns, digestive disorders, food allergies and intolerances, and sports nutrition.

The SCNC is seeking a full-time Nutritionist to join a team of RDNs. This position will contribute to a broad range of responsibilities, including some, but not all, of the following: 

  • Teach a non-credit course, Foundations of Nutrition and Cooking, at BU’s Fitness & Recreation Center.
  • Partner with BU Student Health Services to support students through group education, interactive nutrition workshops, and individual counseling.
  • Design and deliver customized group nutrition seminars.
  • Collaborate with BU Dining Services to promote and support the Sargent Choice Healthy Food and Education Program.
  • Provide wellness programming and services for BU faculty and staff.
  • Deliver fee-for-service medical nutrition therapy for non-BU affiliated referrals.Precept nutrition students and trainees from Sargent College’s nutrition programs

 



Required Skills

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Nutrition
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) and Licensed Dietitian (LD)
  • 1-3 years of experience

Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible, team-oriented, collaborative and growth-minded
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and adaptability
  • Willingness to work occasional non-standard hours, as needed

 

Pay Range: $60,000 65,000

 

Within the pay range above, the starting salary will depend on several factors which may include direct related experience, expertise, education, skills, and location as well as internal equity.
