OB/GYN Medical Assistant - Athens

Medical Assistant - OB/GYN Practice

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a busy OB/GYN practice in Athens. The ideal candidate will be a mature, dependable team player who provides excellent customer service and is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal Medical Assistant will have OBGYN, Womens Health, and Primary Care experience for at a minimum of 1-2 years.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and room patients
• Obtain patient weights, blood pressures, and fetal heart tones
• Answer and manage incoming phone calls
• Order and document laboratory testing
• Schedule surgeries and mammograms
• Process and coordinate referrals
• Assist with telephone triage
• Provide general clinical support to the physician and nurse practitioner

Qualifications:

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• OB/GYN experience strongly preferred
• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• EMR experience strongly preferred; Athena experience is a plus
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Professional, mature, dependable, and team-oriented

Schedule:

• 36 hours per week, Direct Hire position
• Monday- Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday 8 am to 1 pm

Compensation & Benefits:

• $20-$25 per hour, based on experience

• Health insurance after 90 days

• Company pays 2/3 of the employee-only option

• 401(k) after 1 year

• Company match up to 4%

• 10 days of PTO/sick time during the first year, 15 days of PTO/sick time after the first year, and 20 days after 5 years
