Job Title:- Observability Architect – Dynatrace Location - Nashville, Tennessee (3 days in a week on ‐ site) Experience 8–12 years overall IT experience 5+ years hands ‐ on experience with Dynatrace Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Observability Architect with deep expertise in Dynatrace and strong knowledge of infrastructure and application monitoring. The role focuses on guiding customers in defining their observability vision and roadmap, driving tool consolidation, and establishing enterprise-scale observability strategies. This position requires strong customer-facing, consultative skills, architectural thinking, and hands-on technical expertise across modern hybrid and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities Observability Strategy & Architecture Act as a trusted advisor to customers in defining and evolving their Observability roadmap aligned with business outcomes Design enterprise observability architectures covering applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and digital experience monitoring Define monitoring standards, best practices, and governance models across environments Translate business and operational requirements into scalable observability solutions Dynatrace Expertise Lead end ‐ to ‐ end Dynatrace implementations, including architecture design, deployment, upgrades, and optimization Optimize Dynatrace for performance, cost efficiency, and data relevance Provide architectural guidance on Dynatrace SaaS vs Managed deployments Tool Rationalization & Consolidation Assess existing monitoring tool landscapes and identify overlaps and gaps Drive tool consolidation initiatives to reduce complexity and licensing cost Provide recommendations for migrating from legacy or siloed monitoring tools to unified observability platforms Define integration strategies with ITSM, CMDB, DevOps, and SRE toolchains Infrastructure & Application Monitoring Architect monitoring strategies for: On ‐ prem (Linux, Windows, Unix) Public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) Containers and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift) Middleware, databases, and enterprise applications Ensure full ‐ stack visibility across applications, services, hosts, and networks Customer Engagement & Leadership Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and executive stakeholder discussions Produce architecture documents, roadmaps, and executive ‐ level presentations Mentor engineers and consultants on observability best practices Collaborate with platform, cloud, security, and DevOps teams to ensure alignment Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills 5+ years hands ‐ on Dynatrace experience (mandatory) Strong knowledge of APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, and Observability concepts Solid understanding of: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Containers & Kubernetes Microservices architectures CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows Experience integrating monitoring tools with ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred) Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python – preferred) Professional Skills Strong customer ‐ facing and consulting experience Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences Excellent documentation, presentation, and communication skills Strong analytical and problem ‐ solving abilities Ability to work independently while leading multi ‐ stakeholder initiatives Preferred Qualifications Dynatrace Certifications (Associate, Professional, or Master) Experience with SRE or Site Reliability Engineering practices Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and modern observability standards ITIL knowledge or certification Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments We are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where individuals from all backgrounds feel valued and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives.
