Job Description

Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) looking to make a lasting impact on the lives of young children and their families? Join our community-based team and help children reach their fullest potential through meaningful early intervention services.

Developmental Pathways (DP) is seeking an OT in our Early Intervention (EI) Department to provide early intervention services in children's natural environments and through telehealth. In this role, you will deliver skilled, family-centered occupational therapy interventions for children ages 0 to 36 months with physical, neurological, genetic, cognitive, sensory, feeding, ADL, and social/emotional needs.

What You'll Do

Provide occupational therapy services that empower infants and toddlers to achieve key developmental milestones and maximize independence in everyday activities
Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) using a coaching, play-based, and consultation-based approach
Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance, including assessment reports, billing, Medicaid requirements, and coordination with community partners

What You Bring

Required Experience

Two (2) years' experience in the relevant field
Specialty certification (ASHA or NBCOT)
Active DORA licensure in Colorado
Demonstrated experience with specific programmatic concepts, practices, and procedures

Education

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate from an accredited therapy program

Additional Requirements

Must reside in Colorado
Must be able to meet physical demands to include bending or twisting of the body, lifting, standing time, and sitting time to include floor play/therapy, etc.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (or approved alternative)
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Nice to Have

Working knowledge of Medicaid and private insurance billing
Knowledge of rules and regulations for Early Intervention
Prefer additional experience in an area directly related to job assignment
Knowledge of rules and regulations for the Division of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment

What We Do

As a Community Centered Board, Developmental Pathways provides support to those we serve and their loved ones through intake, eligibility enrollment, and case management services and supports. We are devoted to ensuring that all individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and delays receive support by engaging our community in the innovation and implementation of person and family centered practices.

Early Intervention

This program serves families with children 0 – 3 years old. Our Early Intervention Service Coordinators partner with local school districts to perform initial evaluations and assess a child’s development allowing us to provide them and their families with the tools to help them reach their full potential. We also have a dedicated team of Occupational, Speech and Physical Therapists consisting of both in-house and independent contractors.

Case Management

Case Management is a collaborative processes of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation and advocacy. Our Case Managers and Case Management Specialists take a person-centered approach in assisting those we serve and their families in living a more meaningful life. We strive to empower individuals to have control of their lives and make safe and informed choices.

Community Outreach

Our supportive Coordinators in the Community Outreach Department are dedicated to addressing the unmet needs of the individuals and families we serve by helping them to navigate a variety of resources, offering trainings on a variety of topics, holding resource fairs and connecting them with services through our Family Support Services Program.
