Lincoln Meadows Care Center is seeking a dedicated COTA to join our rehabilitation department and help residents achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life. ul>Intervention: Provide remote occupational therapy services, including exercises, activities, and interventions to help patients achieve their goals and improve their functional abilities. You will collaborate with licensed Occupational Therapists to assess and implement appropriate treatment plans, monitor progress, and provide guidance to clients through virtual platforms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ARE: Appropriately evaluates (initially and periodically throughout care) client in areas of range of motion/flexibility; postural alignment, muscle strength and endurance; sensation, reflexes, neurovascular status; soft tissue, bony palpation, passive joint mobilization; body mechanics and work efficiency; wound care; cardiopulmonary function; sitting and standing balance; mobility and gait training; and safety. Treats clients to develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance using physical means such as: therapeutic exercise, range of motion, coordination exercise, balance exercise, gait and transfer training with various weight bearing, prosthetic training, modalities, and others.
