We are looking for an energetic and results driven Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide therapeutic and holistic care on our clinical team. What will you be doing in this role?
- Providing occupational therapy assistant treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, restoring function, relieving pain, and preventing debility
- Maintaining superior clinical care quality and patient and physician satisfaction.
- Understanding and operating according to underlying goals of inpatient acute operating environment, optimizing length of stay - preparing the patient for transition to a longer-term setting in an efficient and safe manner. Collaborating with other therapists within care pathways as necessary.
- Exhibiting positive attitudes and behaviors facilitating teamwork, efficiency, and care quality and promoting a favorable unit and company image.
- Maintaining excellent individual compliance standards including relevant and completing documentation for reference of discharges planning, capturing of patient care time, and performing other quality assurance activities as directed.
- Delivering care as broadly specified within applicable state practice act.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Indiana Occupational Therapy Assistant License or ability to obtain Indiana Occupational Therapy Assistant License
- Associate's or higher degree as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Provide a CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or have the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
- Have the ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
- Have a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
- Have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
- Be able to maintain confidentiality
Eligibility to Work:
This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H-1B, OPT, etc.).
