Occupational Therapist

As a K–12 school-based Occupational Therapist in Illinois, your days will include:

• Provide occupational therapy services to support student participation and independence in school activities.
• Evaluate students’ functional skills and identify needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily school routines.
• Develop and implement interventions aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to support students’ access to learning.
• Recommend classroom adaptations and strategies to promote participation and success.
• Maintain service documentation and monitor progress toward student goals.

Job Details

• Position: On-site contract Occupational Therapist; seeking 1–2 candidates.
• Coverage Period 1: ASAP through the beginning of December 2026.
• Coverage Period 2: March 2027 through the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year.
• Hours: 35 hours per week.
• Student Population: Kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Interviews: Virtual interviews within 48 hours.

Successful Candidates Possess

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active Illinois Occupational Therapist license (required).
• Experience in a pediatric or school setting (preferred).
• The ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor.
• Availability to provide services on-site.
• New graduates may be considered.
