A new 90-bed acute care hospital opening Spring 2026 in Gainesville, FL is hiring an Occupational Therapist to join its inpatient team, which includes a dedicated 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. The facility will offer comprehensive emergency services and advanced surgical care upon opening.

The role. Working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, the Occupational Therapist evaluates each patient's functional abilities and develops individualized therapy plans tailored to their goals and capabilities. Day-to-day work includes delivering evidence-based interventions that promote independence and healing, monitoring patient progress, and adjusting plans as clinical needs evolve. The role also carries responsibility for thorough, timely documentation that reflects patient outcomes, and for educating patients and families to support engagement and confidence throughout recovery. The therapist collaborates with interdisciplinary partners to facilitate safe, seamless transitions of care and may provide guidance to therapy assistants or students.

What we're looking for.
  • Graduate of an accredited vocational or professional Occupational Therapy program required
  • Active Florida Occupational Therapist license required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • 1+ years of Occupational Therapist experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply

Schedule. Days with rotating weekends; core hours are 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with staggered scheduling based on hospital needs.

Compensation. $32.52 - $44.72/hr plus Sign on: $20k Relocation Assistance: Case by Case
