We are seeking a compassionate and driven clinician to join our dynamic acute care and inpatient rehab teams. This unique role offers the opportunity to float between acute care and inpatient rehab, providing comprehensive services across the continuum. This role is ideal for therapists who enjoy fast-paced environments, critical thinking and daily collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
Minimum PRN requirements: 1 weekend shift of availability per month in addition to one high-need day (could be weekend or weekday), as determined by the needs of the department. Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver skilled interventions for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry and specialty units
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate on discharge planning to ensure safe and appropriate patient transitions
- Document timely and accurately in the electronic medical record per hospital and regulatory standards
- Completing patient/family education related to mobility, safe transfers and home exercise programs, as appropriate
- Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within our team
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Occupational Therapist required.
- Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
- Acute care experience, minimum one year required
- Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills
