• Occupational Therapist Pay Range: $40.00–$60.00 per hour (earn more with experience)

New Occupational Therapy Program Graduates Encouraged to Apply

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced Occupational Therapists and new graduates seeking to build a rewarding career while making a meaningful impact on the lives of residents. As a member of the rehabilitation team, you will help ensure the health, well-being, independence, and quality of life of residents through comprehensive occupational therapy services.

This position includes a schedule of weekdays, with some weekend and holiday coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate skilled occupational therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and maintain required physician communication
• Complete and maintain written evaluations, progress notes, MDS documentation, and discharge summaries
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to address residents' rehabilitation and functional maintenance needs
• Participate in Resident Care Planning meetings and attend in the absence of the Director of Occupational Therapy when needed
• Maintain statistical records of resident treatments and therapy outcomes
• Assist with in-service education and training programs upon request
• Record, update, and monitor resident care plans
• Support residents in achieving their highest level of independence and functional ability

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current state Occupational Therapy license required
• Two years of occupational therapy experience preferred
• Interest in working with geriatric and subacute populations using a team-based approach
• Ability to supervise and direct others when necessary
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional maturity, diplomacy, and the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and staff
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to work effectively with geriatric and chronically ill residents
• Commitment to maintaining established standards of clinical excellence
