Occupational Therapist (OT) – Travel Assignment
Location:Grand Junction, CO
Assignment Length: 1-Week Contract
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 8-Hour Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Compensation
- Local Rate: Up to $63/hr
- Travel Rate: Up to $70/hr (including stipend, based on experience)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a short-term assignment in a long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation setting in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role is ideal for therapists who are passionate about helping geriatric and rehabilitation patients regain independence and improve overall quality of life through individualized therapy programs.
The Occupational Therapist will work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide occupational therapy treatments focused on improving daily living skills, mobility, coordination, strength, and independence
- Assist patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or age-related conditions
- Educate patients on the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapy goals and safety strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care coordination
- Ensure compliance with all applicable clinical and professional standards
Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Colorado required
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- NBCOT certification preferred
- Prior experience in LTC, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Strong organizational and patient care management skills
