School-Based Occupational Therapist (Full-Time / Part-Time)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate students to determine functional abilities and performance levels
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals
  • Provide therapy services in accordance with IFSP / IEP requirements
  • Support student independence in activities of daily living and functional skills
  • Maintain accurate attendance and progress records
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, parents, and school personnel
  • Recommend referrals to other clinical services when appropriate
  • Design and fit adaptive devices such as splints or braces as needed
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide supervision to Occupational Therapy students and OT Assistants when applicable
  • Maintain therapy equipment and coordinate supply needs

Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Analytical ability to assess student progress and select appropriate interventions
  • Willingness to undergo fingerprinting by the NY Board of Education / Department of Investigation

Requirements

Experience: Minimum one (1) year of Occupational Therapy experience
License: Valid NYS Occupational Therapy License
