Louisiana Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and sensory-based disorders, helping them achieve greater independence and participation in daily life activities.
Position Responsibilities:- Review patients' medical histories and assess their functional abilities, limitations, and needs.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives.
- Confer and collaborate with physicians, families, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to address fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, sensory processing, ADLs, and functional mobility.
- Guide and instruct patients in performing therapeutic tasks and exercises to improve daily functioning.
- Educate families and caregivers on home programming, positioning strategies, and carryover techniques.
- Recommend, fit, and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment (e.g., feeding aids, splints, mobility devices).
- Monitor patient progress, update treatment plans as needed, and prepare required documentation for physicians, payors, and insurance agencies.
- Maintain documentation in compliance with Louisiana licensure regulations, Medicaid, and insurance requirements.
Qualifications:- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current, active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Louisiana.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Pediatric experience preferred (if applicable to your setting).
- Strong communication, organizational, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Compensation: $40-$65 per hour, depending on experience and employment status (FT/PT/PRN/Contract).
