Occupational Therapist (Temporary)

1. Provide occupational therapy sessions with individual students

and small groups of students;

2. Preserve and improve abilities for independent function such as range of motion, strength, tolerance, coordination, and activities of daily living;

3. Demonstrate therapeutic activities and consult with teachers and aides to carry on with occupational therapy activities during the normal class functions;

4. Demonstrate therapeutic activities and consult with parents to carry on with occupational therapy activities in the home;

5. Maintain progress records and make timely reports regarding individual student's development status;

6. Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Occupational Therapist;

7. Attend case conference committee and annual case review

meetings to provide individual student information on progress

and recommend goals and objectives as appropriate.

8. The Madison Area Educational Special Services Unit views this as

an expanding role. Unit needs, situations, and personnel changes

may result in revision of these duties.
