Position Overview
ABA Connect is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our multidisciplinary team. The OTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans that support clients' sensory, motor, and daily living skill development.
Key Responsibilities
Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
Provide direct OT services, including sensory integration activities, fine motor skill practice, and activities of daily living (ADL) training
Monitor and document client progress, reporting updates to the supervising OT
Collaborate with ABA therapists, BCBAs, SLPs, and other team members to ensure coordinated, cross-disciplinary care
Communicate with parents/caregivers to reinforce home strategies and goals under OT guidance
Assist with preparing materials, equipment, and treatment spaces for sessions
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with state and payer requirements
Participate in team meetings and case conferences as needed
Stay current on best practices and continuing education relevant to pediatric occupational therapy
Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current state licensure/certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (or eligibility to obtain)
NBCOT certification in good standing
Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities strongly preferred
Experience with sensory integration techniques a plus
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Reliable transportation (if in-home services are required)
