Cedar Crest College invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Occupational Therapy at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor

The Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program in the Health Sciences Department at Cedar Crest College invites applications for a 12-month, in-person faculty position. The program is seeking a motivated and innovative individual to join a collaborative, clinically focused, and student-centered team.

The OTD program is committed to fostering a diverse faculty team with a global perspective. Our mission is to cultivate an inclusive, transformative learning environment to prepare students for the evolving demands of healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching graduate-level courses in an entry-level occupational therapy doctorate program.
  • Advising and mentoring graduate students, including guiding student-practitioner evidence-based projects and doctoral capstone projects.
  • Ongoing evaluation and development of curriculum to align with program goals and accreditation standards.
  • Conducting and disseminating scholarly work in accordance with the Boyer Model of Scholarship.
  • Supporting admissions processes and engaging in departmental and college-wide service.
  • Maintaining clinical expertise through optional weekly clinical release time.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree (e.g., PhD, EdD, DSc, DrPH, OTD).
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Active Pennsylvania OT licensure or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in occupational therapy.
  • Academic experience, including knowledge of OT curriculum development and accreditation processes, is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
