We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ocean Export Coordinator to join our logistics team in Erlanger, KY. In this on-site role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing international ocean export shipments in compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of international trade and documentation procedures.
Coordinate and manage full-cycle ocean export shipments from booking to final delivery.
Prepare and review required shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and AES filings.
Communicate with steamship lines, freight forwarders, truckers, warehouses, and customers to ensure timely and accurate shipment execution.
Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or exceptions.
Ensure compliance with all export regulations (e.g., EAR, FMC, CBP).
Maintain accurate data entry in transportation management and ERP systems.
Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication and issue resolution.
Collaborate with internal departments (sales, warehouse, compliance) to support operational goals.
Track KPIs and assist with reporting as needed.
Stay informed of changes in international shipping regulations and industry best practices.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in ocean export operations or international logistics.
Strong knowledge of ocean freight documentation and INCOTERMS.
Experience with transportation management systems and export documentation platforms (e.g., Cargowise, Descartes) preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Erlanger, KY.
